A growing chartered accountancy practice is searching for a Bookkeeping focused assistant accountant to join their successful team in St Austell. You will focus on bookkeeping, management accounts, vat returns, alongside wider service provision assisting on year end accounts and tax as a smaller element of your role. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.

Description
Joining the firm as a Bookkeeping focused Assistant Accountant based from their St. Austell offices, you will carve a key, hands on role here working with a wide spectrum of sole trader, partnerships and limited company clients across varying industries and turnovers undertaking the following responsibilities:
Book keeping, VAT and Management Account service provision, up to circa 70% of your responsibilities.
You will also have opportunity to assist on wider year end accounts preparation, personal tax returns and other responsibilities as a smaller element of your role, up to around 30% of your time.
Profile
You may be AAT studying, or hold an AAT qualification for instance, but if supported by a relevant career history and technical skill set, a strong, relevant, experienced background only, is equally of interest. As a key requirement you will have anything from 2 - 3 years, or significantly more experience specifically developed within an accountancy practice firm environment, with demonstrable experience of delivering bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts services. Wider experience of year end accounts and tax return preparation would be beneficial. Full time, as well as part time working arrangements can be explored with the right candidate. Any experience across any one of the following - CCH, IRIS, Quickbooks, Xero, Sage accounting software would be useful.
Job Offer
