Who we are looking for

With the immediate effect we are looking for Fund Accountant to join State Street Bank International GmbH in Zurich. The successful candidates will demonstrate good knowledge of Swiss regulations and be responsible for independent management of the timely and accurate delivery of accounting for various assets (including equities, fixed income, ETF components, derivatives, etc.) and reporting to our internal and external clients, by performing a daily monitoring and review of controls and procedures.

What you will be responsible for

As Fund Accountant you will

  • Manage day to day delivery of accounting and administrative services for a number of client relationships, taking full responsibility for the allocation provided by your managers
  • Supervise, escalate and review the portfolio and fund level accounting for numerous funds to ensure correct accounting has taken place.
  • Be a trouble shooter for clients and outsourcing teams to ensure NAV accuracy and timeliness
  • Demonstrate an unrelenting commitment to client satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence with internal policies and procedures and compliance with external governing regulations in Switzerland
  • Manage planning, preparation and execution of all monthly, audit and ad hoc deliveries
  • Contribute to working groups within the organization to improve our processes
  • Support the onboarding of existing client’s new products and the launch of new funds and clients

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial apprenticeship or familiar education within financial industry
  • Work experience in Fund Accounting highly beneficial
  • ETF experience is an added bonus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting conventions and techniques
  • Proficient use of MS Office Applications
  • Fluency in English; good knowledge of German is an advantage
