Working for a global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy, based in Warwickshire, the Management Accountant will support the Finance Business Partner by providing financial support to the manufacturing activity.

Description

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Support products with proposals to challenge profitability and cash flow
• Understand performance drivers and recommend improvements
• Implement and drive performance management processes (KPIs)
• Monitor performance against plan to forecast future business performance
• Build strong relationships with business leaders - providing professional decision support and shared best practise
• Provide challenge and insight
• Improve commercial process and procedure with the Senior Leadership team
• Month end responsibilities
• Looking at costs and profit

Profile

The successful Management Accountant must have:

• A recognised Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Industry experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
• Highly numerate and commercial aptitude
• Excellent spreadsheet modelling skills
• Experience of using ERP systems
• Motivated to develop skills and drive business performance
• Be able to work with substantial level of autonomy without close supervision
• Understanding of financial accounting and controls
• Awareness of wider commercial environment
