Financial Control Analyst EMIA Procurement

Responsibilities:   

The role of Procurement Financial Analyst supports both the EMIA Procurement Organization and EMIA Finance, by providing data, analysis and insights on market dynamics, EMIA procurement performance & assessment of trends & plans, and linking these to the Financial Performance of Bridgestone EMIA. Main Responsibilities include:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Market Analysis
• Price Variance Analysis
• Raw Material Outlook
• Procurement KPIs maintenance and update
• Budget/MTP Spend Analysis (Procured spend)
• Working Capital Analysis
• Procurement Department cost planning and analysis

Budget, Forecasting and Strategic Plans:

• Support for setting and maintaining Standard Costing policy for Business Units and ensuring compliance to same on Material Pricing area.
• Support Build business cases and total cost of ownership analysis for procurement projects.

Cost Analysis

• Supports on the Maintaining price forecast and commodity coverage files and analysis of regional spend by category to drive synergies and simplify the procurement sourcing model.
• Collaborate on Analysis of production and operational efficiencies including a breakdown of all costs by category together with analysis of variances.

Requirements:    

Qualified candidates for this important position will therefore need to demonstrate the following:

• University degree in Finance or equivalent field of study
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant finance experience
• Experience in Procurement or Manufacturing environments is a plus
• Experience in international companies (preferred)
• Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS required
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Fluent English in written and spoken is a must
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Analytics and database management
• Strong in data mining tools (BI / SAC, etc)
• Interest/knowledge about how procurement activities and translate into the Financial results of the company
• Interpret data and translate into reports (that facilitates decision making and is actionable) is a plus.
• High level of customer service and very good communication skills
• Confidentiality

• Able to communicate clearly your thoughts, ideas, solutions to non-financial colleagues;
