Divall's Earthmoving & Bulk Haulageowns & operates a fleet of over 40 Kenworth trucks, & over 250 pieces of earthmoving plant & equipment. Their Head Office and Workshop is located at 17090 Hume Highway, on the outskirts of, Goulburn, NSW. Divall's currently have a full-time position vacant in their busy Administration Division for a General Accountant.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate at least 2 to 3 years in a similar role, have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and be motivated to grow their career in this industry. Our team will provide the right candidate with the tools and support to help you excel in your role.

Salary range $80,000.00 - $100,000.00

Reporting to the Managing Director, the individual's responsibilities will be:

Tasks Include:
  • assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
  • preparing financial statements for presentation to directors and management
  • conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits, and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency, and taxation
  • examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
  • providing assurance about the accuracy of the information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
  • providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations
  • preparing taxation returns for individuals and organisations
  • liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
  • introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
  • maintaining internal control systems
  • strive for improved workforce motivation generating higher levels of performance and lead by example
  • maintain compliance with governing authorities
  • managing enquiries both in-person and over the phone


To be successful in the role the following are required:
  • Degree qualification and relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise with excellent organisational skills
  • Able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work as part of a growing team
  • An energetic and self-motivated individual
  • A WHS Construction Induction WhiteCard
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current drivers' licence
