Be valued as a trusted partner to the business who is committed to doing the right thing. At AstraZeneca, we believe it's not just about getting the best solution, it's also about doing it the right way - ethics, compliance and transparency are front and centre of everything we do.
At AstraZeneca in Cambridge, we're offering an outstanding opportunity to build on your financial controls/assurance experience and develop a career with a global, FT100 leading pharmaceutical business.
As Financial Control Assurance Manager, you'll be a partner to the business - involved in evaluating risks and handling SOx and testing controls. You'll work with global Operations teams, develop an outstanding understanding of finance transactional processes and gain scientific insights. Longer-term, there will be a wealth of career possibilities, both in the UK and Europe.
We're in the midst of a major transformation to become leaders in our core disease areas. The unfolding journey is having a significant impact on our financial control framework - making it an exciting and meaningful time to join our established Financial Control Corporate Governance team.
Main duties and responsibilities
As part of the team, you'll provide thought leadership and drive operational excellence in financial control, both across AstraZeneca and relevant third-party providers. You'll implement effective financial control programmes for business-as-usual, project and ground-breaking activities, addressing SOx and other compliance requirements. Building positive working relationships to understand organisational/governance areas of AstraZeneca will be pivotal.
You'll partner closely at a local level to support end-to-end process thinking and optimise controls, as well as providing regional financial controls/assurance training. Where vital, you will also work with newly acquired companies to establish an appropriate financial controls framework.
