This role will be the number 2 in finance for the business, reporting into the newly appointed CFO.
Client Details
Our client are a Manufacturing business in the sub £50mil turnover space. The business is embarking on a growth journey so there's plenty of change and improvements to get involved in.
Description
Looking after a small transactional team, this will be a hands on position in a progressive fast moving business where day to day focus will be on month end duties, team leadership/management, financial controls and future risk mitigation, in addition to being instrumental in the continuous improvement journey of the business and the finance function.
- Preparing group and company reports for submission to the board
- Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts
- KPI, cash flows, budgeting and forecasting
- Being instrumental in managing cash and working capital
- Managing a team of 5 ensuring work is completed correctly and to deadlines, and that the team is driving improvements in processing efficiency which ultimately benefit working capital
- Year end procedures including liaising with auditors
- Designing new reporting processes, systems and control to enhance efficiencies
- Ad hoc reporting across various aspects of finance, presenting to the CFO
- Controlling all elements of site finance including looking after key control accounts
- Liaising and working with key stakeholders including suppliers, customers and other departments/the board
Profile
Experience:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified (ideally ACA)
- Experience of, or demonstrable aptitude for, implementing financial controls, KPI's and risk mitigation
- Excellent Excel skills
- Pro-active with a drive to improve systems, processes and output to benefit business
- Excellent communication skills with a forward thinking, pro-active attitude
- Whilst industry experience would be beneficial, a background in practice (Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, restructuring) would also benefit the role, hence candidates for whom this is a first move from practice or with more limited industry experience, would be considered
