Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd

Salary: $66,150.00 + 9.5 % Superannuation

Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd are looking for an experienced Accountant for an immediate start. This position is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours per week based in the Sydney NSW.

The Accountant's role is to meet all the internal accounting needs of the business and to oversee and manage The Company's adviser payment system as follows:

Tasks Include:
  • Preparing budgets and keeping management informed as to how the business is performing relative to those budgets;
  • Management reporting as follows:
    • Monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet;
    • Monthly Cash Position and Cash Flow Reporting;
    • Half year Funds Under Management Report;
    • All other necessary Reports as requested by Management;
  • Preparing financial statements for external auditors to meet ASIC audit requirements;
  • Providing financial analysis on acquisition targets;
  • Analysing and tracking expenses relative to income relating to those expenses;
  • Maintaining our internal accounting system and supervising the inputting being done by internal Accounts Officer;
  • Working knowledge of insurance requirements relating to Financial Services;
  • Preparation of all statutory requirements;
  • Preparation of BAS statements.
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar high volume operational role;
  • Direct exposure in dealing with a high volume of Brokerage enquiries relating to Financial Services;
  • High level of Excel skills;
  • Understanding of brokerage payment systems within the Financial Services environment;
  • Be able to work both as part of a team and also independently;
  • Sound time management skills, incorporating the capacity to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines in an environment of change and conflicting demands;
  • High attention to detail and accurate reconciliation skills are essential;
  • Demonstrated capacity to be innovative.
Although not essential, candidates with the following experience/skills will be looked upon favourably:
  • Experience in building Excel dashboards;
  • Experience in building Power BI dashboards;
  • Ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data;
  • Working knowledge of the Corporations Act with respective to application to the Financial Services environment;
  • High level Revex user.
