The Margin & Securities Backed Finance (MSBF) Global Product Risk Head is a senior position reporting to the Global Head of Private Bank Risk, responsible for leading risk management activities including credit review, approval and monitoring of the MSBF portfolio. The overall objective of the role is to risk manage exposure within Citi's risk appetite and associated governance framework for Citi Global Wealth Ultra High Net Worth, Emerging High Net Worth and High Net Worth client segments.Responsibilities:Lead all risk management activities associated with the CPB and Consumer Bank MSBF portfolios globallyAs a seasoned Senior Credit Officer perform 2nd line of defense risk challenge and approval for all relevant MSBF transactionsInsure the attendant operating model, policies, processes, standards and associated governance framework are fit for purpose and are evolved/refined in line with product development/changes, partnering with Investment Finance and other 1LOD/2LOD functions/groups as appropriateLead and manage a diverse team of risk professionals globally, ranging from entry level to seasoned Risk Senior Credit OfficersProvide risk leadership on all associated risk projects including Wholesale Credit/Counterparty Credit Risk Remediation, as well as CCARServe as a point of escalation for key issues or time sensitive risk decisions. Acts decisively in high risk scenarios, leveraging experience and judgment.Engage with regulators and other key constituents on MSBF Product risk related mattersProvide clear and responsive communication with senior management, auditors and regulatorsKnowledge/Experience:Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of financial institution or other intensive credit risk experienceIn-depth knowledge of margin lending, market risk and/or capital markets product knowledge and analytical experience is requiredThe preferred candidate must be a Senior Credit Officer Level 2, or demonstrate the ability to attain SCO Level 2 quickly.Strong partnering skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization; sound fundamental credit and portfolio management skillsProven track record of building business relationships, including strong influencing and negotiating abilities.Has deep knowledge of the competitive landscape, potential threats and opportunitiesSkills:Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)Superior analytical and quantitative assessment skillsAble to quickly distil transactions/business propositions to key risksStrong people and process management, mentoring, and coaching abilityDemonstrated leadership skillsConfident in leading senior meetings/calls and making key risk decisions, providing appropriate challenge to 1LODRelationship building across functions and regions.
