Financial Controller

Financial Controller | £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus

Having secured more funding, this is a newly created role and will be responsible for bringing finance in house and developing a highly effective finance function. Reporting to the founders, you'll manage the day-to-day finance operations and manage a part-qualified assistant.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day to day accounting function and supporting the founder in building out the finance team with additional hires as the business grows
• Monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet
• Statutory accounts and VAT
• Owning the budgeting & forecasting, cash flows and providing regular analysis and insights into variances against budget
• Delivering timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Delivering KPI and financial information reporting for the board, shareholders and other stakeholder reporting
• Setting up new reporting packs and utilising the accounting software to provide timely financial information
• Driving continued development and improvement of the Finance function

Desired skills and experience:

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience in a similar role
• Ideally an understanding of media/production/advertising or keen interest in this space
• Sound technical accounting knowledge and an appreciation for accounting controls
• Highly organised
• Excellent communicator
