Assistant Group Financial Accountant

The client are one of the world biggest private education and training companies, that operate all over the world. They own, manage develop and build a number of private education facilities across the world. They are looking for an Assistant Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team in their head office, based in South West London (Victoria).

They have facilities over a number of different continents and this role will give the successful candidate to work on and liaise with facilities in all sorts of regions across the world.

Description

The successful Assistant Group Financial Accountant will be:

• Assisting the Group Financial Accountant to deliver the month-end close across a variety of facilities
• Multi-currency bank reconciliations
• Preparation of the month-end journals
• Accruals & Prepayments
• Intercompany reconciliations and returns
• Fixed Asset maintenance
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Quarterly reporting
• Acting as a Business Partner between the head office and the facilities
• Assisting with the year end audit
• Ad hoc responsibilities

Profile

The successful Assistant Group Financial Accountant will:

• Have previous experience working with multiple currencies (ESSENTIAL)
• Have approximately 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• A working knowledge of the system NAV Business One (desirable, not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident
• Have very good Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, formulas etc)
• Studying towards their ACCA or CIMA qualification

• £43,000 (max)
