Client Details

Finance Controller - Growing SME - Guildford

Description

Build 9 year plan each July with MD and commercial team. Submit to Group

Review monthly revenues and costs with all budget holders and submit monthly forecast to Group

Supervise production of monthly and quarterly actuals

Manage monthly liquidity planning (TM5)

Produce year end pack for auditors in accordance with group guidelines and timetable

Produce year end results

Ensure all year end data is entered onto Infor in accordance with group guidelines and timetable

Manage the UK audit, acting as the interface between UK management, group accounting and the UK auditors

Liaise with UK auditors in the production of the UK statutory accounts agreeing any audit adjustments

Liaise with tax advisors in preparation of the UK corporation tax returns

Financial & Contractual Management

Oversee credit control and purchase ledger payments

Oversee payroll (outsourced)

Review all company contracts (customers and suppliers)

Review all company insurance policies; negotiate and renew as required

Oversee all employee contracts & legislation liaise with external HR company as required

Liaise with external lawyers as required

Mergers and Acquisitions

Work up business cases for potential acquisitions

Support in integration process as appropriate

Work with M&A team on above

Management of One Direct Report

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Knowledge of Xero, Sage
  • A high level of technical competence (for both accounting principles and systems)
  • Must have worked for a large organisation before, and collaborated with an international HQ (subsidiary experience)
  • Group reporting within a blue-chip environment desirable
  • Good commercial experience
  • People management experience
  • Contract management experience desirable

Job Offer

£65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus
