The Financial Analyst will report to the Financial Controller, you will play a lead role in delivering effective financial control, reporting, systems, and processes.

My client is a well known Scottish Charity based in the Central Belt.
Description
Key tasks will include:
- Assisting the Financial Controller to ensure that appropriate financial control processes are in place and overseeing the implementation of these controls on a day-to-day basis.
- Producing accurate and on time monthly management and KPI reporting for all areas
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Investigating and resolving outstanding entries as part of regular month end routines
- Reviewing nominal ledger postings
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly journal entries.
- Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Providing cover for Senior Finance Assistant and Financial Controller in response to business needs
- Other duties and tasks as may be required by the Financial Controller.
Profile
The successful candidate will ideally
- be studying professional qualifications and have a solid background in financial reporting.
- Great knowledge of systems optimisation and process improvement within a financial accounting and control environment
- Experience of practical application of accounting regulations
- Proficient in the use of specialist financial systems and Microsoft applications, in particular advanced knowledge of Excel (essential)
