Location: We can have this role based in London, Luxembourg, Munich or Madrid.

Who we are: The Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) team designs and drives the adoption of packaging technologies by lowering our cost structure, unlocking additional selection, and improving customer experience. The Pack Automation team is responsible for the development of global automated work cells that improve the safety and productivity of our packaging operations. We design and develop packaging work cells that can be back-built into existing buildings and incorporated into the designs of next generation buildings.

Career Opportunity: Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst within the Robotics Finance team to partner with the CPEX and Pack Automation teams located in Luxembourg. Our Finance team works side by side with each of our businesses to help us achieve our goals. We are looking for someone to identify opportunities and build solutions to optimize our packaging strategies from a financial perspective. Candidates need to be skilled in communicating insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of financial expertise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple competing priorities.

Team Exposure/Scope: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with CPEX and Pack Automation leadership team members in Europe to reduce the cost structure of our packaging activities. The role will enjoy exposure to the EU Operational Leadership Team, EU Ops Finance Leadership, and Robotics Leadership by directly influencing the development, planning, and execution of critical programming.

Success in this role: The successful candidate has demonstrated an ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. You collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You quickly learn operations to understand economics and key financial drivers, and gain proficiency with Amazon data systems in order to conduct efficient analyses to reduce cost, while exercising controllership and improving the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
• Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where there data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
• Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions.
• Foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions.
• Identify and sponsor Finance-wide professional development and engagement initiatives that plan for the future and strengthen the global Finance community, such as inclusion and diversity initiatives.
• You are a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master's degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL
