Finance Analyst / Systems Accountant

Based in Central Lancashire, this highly acquisitional IT based organisation are seeking a talented finance professional to join an expanding group in a newly established role. A hybrid position, leading on the group financial analysis, this role is also tasked to add value across the wider group through effective systems enhancement. A varied and diverse position, this role shall support further growth and also assist in the consolidation of newly acquired business units into the group. The organisation are in a strong financial position and have a successful track record spanning many years in the sector they operate

Your New Role As Finance and Systems Analyst:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, working closely with stakeholders and other departments, you shall be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Director in the group consolidation and financial reporting whilst also being responsible for enhancing the process and procedural elements of the finance systems. During the month-end period you shall lead on the monthly financial analysis and create an environment where monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables can be monitored effectively. As Finance Analyst you shall work closely across the Portfolio to review and reconcile reporting ahead of consolidation whilst driving quality and consistency of reporting across the group. A hands-on position during the month end period you shall assist in preparation of monthly Management reporting and assist in the preparation of the quarterly forecasting. A hybrid role, you shall also work with stakeholders to manage the systems and support on new acquisition implementations in the Portfolio. Focused to enhance the use and quality from the IT available you shall establish sound financial processes and procedures in new acquisitions and deliver support and training during implementation and transition.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered you shall be CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a systems enhancement role. You shall have excellent communication skills and able to work with stakeholders across a company. With the ability to work under pressure, producing quality reporting under tight timescales you shall be able to instigate and manage change and make suggestions to enhance process and procedure. Strong across the use of various financial systems you shall ideally have implemented change across this area and have a proven track record of developing detailed reporting and analysis. Technically strong with a solid understanding of month end duties you shall be able to add value whilst providing detailed monthly accounting in a rounded and varied role.
