We are currently looking to recruit a Group Accountant, to contribute to the delivery of the consolidated financial and management accounts. Work proactively with the wider Group Finance team to ensure an integrated one Group Finance team approach and be responsible for the accounting of head office companies and actively support operating companies in all aspects of accounting and reporting. What does the role involve? Reporting to the Head of Consolidation & Corporate Controlling, the Group Accountant will provide the CFO, Group FC and broader finance team with reliable and timely consolidation reporting and detailed understanding and integrity checking of output and production of management accounts, H1/YE reporting. You will contribute to setting the direction of the Group's corporate strategy by providing support to the Head of Consolidation/Group Financial Controller in the provision of accurate and incisive monthly management account data and analysis to enable informed decisions to be taken and actively support processes to ensure accurate, complete and on time production and submission of all consolidated accounting data sets including actuals, forecasts and budgets. IN addition you will be responsible for all aspects of accounting for head office companies including ownership of general ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and involvement in more complex transactions and maintain accurate intercompany reconciliations for all head office companies and PLC, and be the main point of contact for intercompany queries across the Group.

To be successful, you will: •

Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), with minimum 2+ years PQE, with a good technical background and experience in financial consolidation •

Have hands-on knowledge of consolidation software a distinct advantage •

Have Excellent analytical skills and advanced excel skill •

Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, strong technical accounting expertise and consolidation experience, display sound judgment and integrity, be hands on and demonstrate good attention to detail.
