Tax Manager (12 month FTC)

Our client is a truly global law firm, operating in close to 20 territories. They are one of the biggest law firms in the world with turnover of over £1 billion and a headcount of over 5000. London is their global HQ and is located close to mainline and tube stations. The firm offers an extensive list of benefits that includes profit-related bonus, on-site restaurant and fitness centre, 25 days holiday, private medical insurance, in-house medical service (doctor & dentist) and group pension plan.
They are now looking to hire a Tax Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have extensive tax experience and previous supervisory experience.
Responsibilities would include:
Manage key employment tax projects within the firm to ensure seamless implementation with the highest levels of accuracy and compliance to tax legislation. Develop strong relationships within the firm to be the trusted tax advisor on complex cross-border employment tax issues. Review and develop methods of working and reporting systems to maximize efficiency and reduce tax liabilities wherever possible within the legislative framework. Coach and develop junior members of staff.
Candidate Profile Previous supervisory experience High degree of proficiency in Excel Previous experience working in a Tax role. Professional Services firm experience preferred (desirable) At least 10 years of tax advisory and/or tax compliance experience, within a multinational legal or professional services firm. Formal professional qualification, such as CPA, ACCA, CIOT or equivalent. A self-starter who is highly motivated and able to stand alone. Diplomatic with excellent communication and influencing skills.
