Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the overall Purchase Ledger and procurement function of a busy department. Your key responsibilities will be maintaining supplier accounts, rebates and contracts within the finance system, and the input of Purchase Ledger Invoices matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and agency time-sheets.

Description

As a Purchase Ledger Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining supplier accounts, rebates and contracts within the finance system,
  • Input Purchase Ledger Invoices matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and agency time-sheets.
  • Gain internal authorisation of all invoices and ensures any outstanding invoices are included in the payment run and email out remittance advices.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and file all paper and electronic supplier invoices, allocating chargeable costs to clients when required.
  • Dealing with supplier queries & calls.
  • Reconciling bank statements to payments & maintaining the reconciliation spreadsheet weekly.
  • Process & pay staff expense claims on a weekly basis.
  • Print daily invoices, monthly statements and ad hoc copy invoice requests.
  • Help other members of the team.
  • Opening and distributing Finance post.
  • Provide internal support for colleagues with finance-related issues.
  • Set up of new staff on finance system and provide training where necessary.

Profile

To be successful in your application for Purchase Ledger Manager, you should have:

  • Experience working in a senior Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable environment (Manager/Supervisor)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
