What your impact will be:
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes by working with finance team to meet reporting deadlines
- Prepare and post various account transactions
- Accurate and timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations, including sales tax liability and intercompany accounts
- Assist with sales tax transaction audits
- Assist with quarterly variance analysis
- Escalate prevalent issues to leadership as needed
- Proactively establish and maintain internal controls to minimize compliance or audit issues
- Verify data integrity and compliance through consistent monitoring and auditing
- Identify, improve, and standardize processes within Finance where possible
- Assisting with special projects & ad hoc reporting as required by the Corporate Controller
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Public accounting or large corporate experience preferred.
- Strong written, oral and computer skills (preferably Word and Excel)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Sales tax experience would be considered an asset
