Senior Financial Analyst, Technology Portfolio Office - (Calgary, Alberta, or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, or Loveland, Colorado, U.S.A.) (Temporary)

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Technology Portfolio Office.

What you will do:
  • Collaborate to deliver regular IT performance reporting, manage budgets and forecasts, provide financial guidance, and support business needs
  • Maintain and update complex financial models in Excel that calculate IT service fees for supported business areas
  • Evaluate methodology of calculation of IT service fees for supported business areas
  • Support ongoing enhancement to Power Query-based forecast models
  • Support execution of annual budget process, inclusive of data collection and analysis, stakeholder support, presentation development, etc.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support key technology functional areas (i.e. Infrastructure & Security), including hosting regular meetings with key stakeholders in such areas
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key technology spend categories (i.e. professional services)
  • Ad hoc assignments and analytics as required; provides business decision recommendations based on results

What you will bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in a financial management capacity
  • Finance designation required (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA, CFA, MBA)
  • Knowledgeable and proven ability to produce results in all aspects of financial management, including knowledge of IFRS
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent data management skills with experience in PowerBi and Power Query
  • VBA or other coding skills considered an asset
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated with exceptional interpersonal skills, maintained in challenging and high-pressure situations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Flexible and analytical thinker, able to deliver creative and accurate results in a dynamic environment

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range $72,240 - $103,200 USD. This range is estimated for Senior Analyst, Technology Portfolio Office in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

Our benefit package provides paid sick days. However, given the temporary nature of this role, this position does not participate in any other benefit, retirement savings or paid time off programs, nor any form of incentive compensation. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations.
