The Role:

This role sits within our growing technology team which will support our superannuation trustee business in its data, reporting and automation efforts.

As a Business Analyst (Reporting and Business Intelligence), you will be at the heart of supporting the business with understanding what's going on, by converting data into information, and information into business insights.

You will be supporting the business on their reporting needs so that they can make smart and informed decisions. You will have a critical role in the business to ensure that we are continuously improving the efficiency of our reporting capabilities:
  • Production of regular and ad-hoc reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Automation of reports into self-service dashboards
  • Liaising and gathering requirements from business stakeholders and vendors
  • Trend and industry analysis to support APRA SPS 515 on member outcomes

In this role, you will need to be highly action-oriented and be empowered to get on with what you need to do. You will be working in a small and interactive team, with a broad set of stakeholders, and a business that is in the early stages of building its Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities. Internally, we use a range of databases and tools, including SQL and NoSQL databases, BigQuery, Google Data Studio and Sisense.

This is a full-time permanent position with flexible work options available. Training options will also be provided depending on the required skill-sets.


As an absolute must, you will have a background in a similar analytical role. The ideal candidate will also have:
  • Experience and/or intellectual curiosity of the superannuation industry is highly regarded
  • Proven ability to interact proactively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in SQL and BI tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI or Sisense)
  • ETL experience is highly desirable
Experience in manipulating a set of data and producing a report for a specific purpose using Excel and BI tools
