About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Functional Business Analyst to join our client who is a well known retail brand with offices across Australia. The role will engage primarily with business stakeholders to develop a road map and look at the organisations strategic objectives. You will have a background understanding matter-specific requirements, scope solutions and work within a team to drive solutions through to on-time delivery, whilst also supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and define solutions that will support business objectives
  • Scope and deliver capabilities for large-scale data gathering, management, analysis and reporting
  • A good understanding of developing and re-engineering Business processes
  • Assist in the development of the technology roadmap as well as looking at the organisations strategic objectives.
  • Document project scope, requirements, and deliverables .
  • A good understanding of Customer service /Retail would be an advantage.
  • Understand and manage data on behalf of the business, and support stakeholders via analysis, interrogation, import and export of data where required
  • Represent data by providing reporting in PowerBI datasets, models and visualisations
Key Selection Criteria
  • Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably with a focus on Information Systems or IT
  • Strong analysis skills, with demonstrated experience working with data held in a relational database management system
  • Experience analysing data and building reports would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with highly developed stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at various technical levels, and tailor communication style to stakeholders with differing levels of knowledge and understanding
  • Willingness to exercise initiative and a well-developed sense of personal responsibility
  • Capable of producing high work quality with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
