We value uniqueness and character and are looking for a talented Agile Business Analyst (3 to 5 years of experience) ideally with exposure as a Scrum Master to embark on a journey with us to build a world class platform for our customers. We are undertaking a digital transformation to leverage our globally recognized platform to fulfill our vision of dominating the global SME commercial insurance market. The initial contract will be 6 months but likely to be extended to 12 months.

C#, MVC, AngularJS, React ASP.NET .NET Core NUnit, Selenium Git, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy SQL Server, dbUp Amazon Web Services (AWS)
About you
What you'll be doing?
  • Interact collaboratively with the Product Owner to ensure that the user stories are ready to be estimated and worked on by the developers
  • Functional Design Documents
  • Business Process Documents
  • Assist the developers and the quality assurance team in delivering the agreed user stories (i.e. 3-way handshake)
  • Help the product owner in coaching and assisting more junior resources
  • Project Board management

  • Collaborate with the agile squad to ensure that the user stories are ready to be estimated and worked on.
  • Facilitate key meetings including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.
  • Functional Design Documents.
  • Business Process Documents.
  • Assist the developers and the quality assurance team in delivering the agreed user stories (i.e. 3-way handshake).
  • Help the product owner in coaching and assisting more junior resources.
  • Project Board management.

Who we want?
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst (Insurance Industry experience is optional)
  • Familiar with the Scrum rituals. (daily stand ups, sprint planning, mid-sprint health checks, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews etc.)
  • Ideally exposure as a Scrum Master including but not limited to: running stand-ups, analyzing burndown charts, measuring velocity, assisting the Product Owner in allocating the right amount of story points per Sprint etc;
  • Excellent Agile Story Writing skills
  • Proven track record of solid experience in the main Business Analysis activities: requirement elicitation, requirement analysis, fit/gap analysis, stakeholder management, cost/benefit analysis, business case experience (ideal)
  • Love to go into detail about what your team is responsible for and how it brings value to the business
  • Passionate in promoting the culture and some interesting/funny facts that makes your team unique
  • Data-driven culture Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence in an AGILE methodology General SQL proficiency
  • Strong experience in working according to Agile and Kanban practices
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders and effectively manage their expectations
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities, specifically in working within the insurance industry (rating, claims, underwriting questions, coverage)
  • Proven organizational, time management and leadership skills
  • Strong work ethic and milestone-oriented mindsets (e.g. be on-time, deliver on-time)
  • Be driven and passionate with helping bring ideas to usable living software.

How the role will be measured?
  • Feedback on the quality of the user stories (including acceptance criteria) from developers, quality assurance team and stakeholders
  • The degree to which you utilize your experience and facilitation skills to manage stakeholders and meet milestones
  • Analysis completed ensuring the right level of quality strictly according to the timeline provided
  • Overall satisfaction of the business Stakeholder around the work that has been conducted (requirement gathering analysis, user stories writing, demoing etc)
