How will I help?

Reporting to the Manager, Risk Assurance, Technology, this person will be responsible for performing assurance reviews in accordance with the Risk and Compliance Assurance Manual. You will perform assurance reviews over SOx, Prudential, Value Chain, Theme, delivered risk (i.e. to be controls) of key projects (i.e. those assessed as high risk). Furthermore, you will prepare draft review reports issued to stakeholders to ensure alignment with Risk and Compliance Assurance Manual requirements and delivery of appropriate insight and conclusions.

The Manager will maintain and deliver the annual assurance plan as approved by the Chief Risk Officer and contribute to the preparation of quarterly Risk and Compliance Committee reports including the identification and reporting of trends and insights. You will provide constructive contribution to the Westpac Groups Risk and Compliance forums to achieve alignment and identify / share best practice opportunities.

What do I need?

A strong candidate will bring experience in financial services and/or assurance knowledge in order to effectively and efficiently design and execute testing plans, review scopes, and reports. You will have detailed understanding of Technology Infrastructure and Information Security Systems coupled with experience in auditing automated business controls. You will be proficient at facilitating meetings and presenting findings at business unit level risk forums and committees.
