Location: WPP AUNZ has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.

Salary: $65,000 - $100,000

We are currently hiring for a Revenue Accountant who will work closely with the Account Management, Finance and Commercial Finance teams across all GroupM agencies to ensure efficient management of WIP, billings and collection across a large portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage intercompany and client invoicing process by ensuring invoices are raised and delivered accurately and in a timely/auditable manner; and liaise with account receivables and media reconcilers to ensure timely collection of debtors and as per terms
  • Ensure appropriate approval matrices are followed prior to raising invoices and record approvals and other supporting documents such as client contracts, client approvals etc. for efficient retrieval
  • Perform reconciliations on costs and revenues by analysing monthly movements, conducting financial investigations on any revenue and cost related discrepancies, and preparing monthly business reports and commentaries on a monthly basis in accordance with group policies
  • Manage the JCR and WIP process ensuring that jobs are correctly billed by verifying the supplier invoices are allocated to correct jobs, examining costs and revenues, reconciling jobs (up-to-date and reconciled jobs with no debit or old jobs) and managing revenue take ups
  • Ensure all prebills are reconciled and invoices are correctly offset against prebills where relevant (no overdue invoices due to prebills) and liaise with assistant accountants to find resolution on any unreconciled prebill accounts
  • Work with WPPAUNZ compliance team to ensure WPP compliance standards and relevant local regulations, internal controls, and standard practices are adhered to with client billings and contract requirements
  • Organise training sessions to ensure Account Service team members are fully across system know-how and process by providing systems and process where required
