Position Overview
Working with in the finance department, the position will be responsible for various financial /management functions and contributing to the management of the Treasury system and ensuring the production of various financial, management, treasury and compliance reports.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing of all month end financial transactions and complete all balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations.
- Preparing weekly & monthly reporting and analysis to assist management with decision making
- Assisting with annual budget and monthly forecast preparations
- Maintaining accurate accounting systems
- Cash flow management and forecasting - includes daily treasury controls, liquidity, valuations, end of month accounting for treasury transactions and other reporting for the Board, Senior Management, Trustees and other relevant stakeholders.
- Co-ordinating with Funders and Trustees to organise funding provisions for settling loans
- Managing the collection of arrears with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Critical financial company analysis
- Management of statutory obligations
- Providing financial/management accounting support to the CFO and the wider team
- Working on key projects as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified preferably in Accounting.
- At least 3 years experience in relevant fields such as Finance, Management Accounting and/or Treasury operations
- Completed or nearing completion of a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification
- Experience and Skills in working with various systems
- Strong Excel skills
