As the Finance Business Partner for Asset Management & Corporate functions, you will be responsible for the management accounting, financial planning, analysis support and advice for Asset Management & Corporate functions at ElectraNet. The role is responsible for delivering the Integrated Business Planning and Reporting Framework, utilising your ability to engage stakeholders to seek inputs to planning activities and deliver insightful advice as to the financial performance of stakeholders' division, function and/ or business unit. It is vital that your analytical skills provide sound finance advice to support the business in delivering against the business and budget objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in process and systems implementation to effectively and efficiently deliver ElectraNet's Financial Planning and Analysis activities and contribute to continuous improvement of the systems and processes underpinning the function.

Success in this role is measured by your ability to proactively deliver ElectraNet's vision through applying their extensive management accounting and analytical skills. The ability to build strong working relationships across broad internal and external stakeholder groups, a high degree of attention to detail and accounting excellence is critical to success in the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take initiative, drive for outcomes, take ownership, make independent decisions and formulate policies and procedures within established frameworks to obtain the best performance and results;
  • Support external stakeholder management to meet statutory and regulatory obligations and support the statutory and regulatory positioning of the business;
  • Provide support and guidance to key stakeholders to deliver the annual budget and forecast input requirements;
  • Proactively work the Asset Management & Network Services functions to optimise the financial planning outcomes for the budget and forecasts by closely working with the other Finance Business and People Partners to influence the overall capital and operating expenditure and workforce requirements of the business;
  • Support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and the Head of Finance in preparing reports and presentations to the CFO and executives that enables risk and opportunity identification and delivers value focused actions and delivers sustainable and lasting outcomes;
  • Support the development and maintain fit for purpose systems and processes to ensure stakeholder requirements are timely and reliably;
  • Take responsibility for the monthly management accounting of the Asset Management & Network Services functions;
  • Prepare monthly management reporting to deliver insights and enable the business to manage financial outcomes;
  • Leverage analytical and influencing skills to deliver value generating business partnering;
  • Provide analytical insights and adhoc reporting to key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or equivalent
  • Approved Accountancy qualification (e.g. CA/CPA)
  • Strong ability to apply innovative thinking, analytical skill and problem solving
