You will prepare financial reports for management and the Board and help to develop, implement, and monitor cost reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on day-to-day financial management a key requirement of role with limited or no external support.
- Assisting with the set up of group reporting and accounting requirements.
- Preparation for and conducting physical inventory counts
- Assist in company secretarial duties, including board reporting, regulatory filings, and interaction
- Oversee GST compliance and BAS preparation
- Financial Performance and management; reporting, cost control and cash flow
- Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
- Customer Rebates and Sales Brokerage
- Attending to Legal matters (including Trademarks/Patents/Copyright)
- Maintaining Fixed Assets records and depreciation schedule
- Administration of Grants and/or other external funding opportunities
- Maintaining business relationships with banks, insurance companies, accountants, and auditors
- Processing End of month/year including journal adjustments, accruals, stock take and reporting
- Business Administration e.g. tax information, shareholder agreements, policies and record keeping
- Accounts management: payments/receipts, bank transactions, credit cards
- Debtor and Creditor management: debt collection, credit control and associated documentation, supplier invoicing and record maintenance
- Assist with Human Resources and Administration processes
- General Office duties: petty cash, mail, phone/reception support, stationery supplies, and general business communication
- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll - managing time clock and wage records, Awards and Processing. End of month/year reconciliations
- Other processes: PAYGW, Payroll Tax, RTWSA, Superannuation and end of year reconciliations and lodgment
- To generate and maintain KPI requirements
- Entering and reporting of the Bill of Materials
- R&D tax claim
- To manage direct reports
- Other duties as directed by Management
Projects:
- To be part of the System deployment team and drive system implementation from a finance perspective
- Implement new time clock and staff scheduling system
- Other projects as required
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant or similar experience
- 4 Years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP (desirable)
- Ownership of previous system implementation and improvement projects would be advantageous
