Our client is an international multi-disciplinary engineering company that has hundreds of offices peppered across the globe. Their expertise extends almost all industry sectors including rail infrastructure and they have an immediate need for a PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ASSURANCE CONSULTANT (Rail) in Perth, Western Australia.

About the Role:

As PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ASSURANCE CONSULTANT you will be based in the Perth CBD office to provide support to high-profile transport projects (primarily rail), and working closely with lead rail systems and safety engineers. The key focus of the position will be to ensure projects are delivered within the company's engineering framework, fully integrated and fully assured, and fulfill all obligations in engineering project delivery. The PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ASSURANCE CONSULTANT will support a continuous improvement approach to Safety and System Assurance processes and implement and deliver Safety and RAM on a wide range of projects. This will include Safety Argument Development and input in design reviews for construction, maintenance and decommissioning, Safety Assurance Planning, Risk Analysis, RAM Analysis, Safety case generation and reporting, RAM reports and application of hazard analyses techniques including human factors integration. You will work an approximate 40 hour week and a tremendous salary package is on offer of up to $220K Base + super and benefits.

Skills, Experience & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• 8+ years' minimum post-graduate experience in Rail Safety and Systems Assurance roles
• Proven success in a similar PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ASSURANCE CONSULTANT role on major rail infrastructure projects (operations/construction/engineering/maintenance), preferably in Australia for consultancies or engineering companies.
• Superb all-round communication skills with ability to influence, coordinate and resolve issues effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Perth based with existing rights to live and work in Australia
• Able to supply 2 favorable references from within the last 5 years
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
