We are one of Australia's largest and most respected power equipment and arborist specialists. We have 6 Victorian retail stores and mechanical workshops, along with two e-commerce sites. We specialise in providing our customers with products such as Ride-on Mowers, Lawn Mowers, Chainsaws, Logsplitters, Arbor gear etc. We also assist our customers with the service and repair of these products. Our customer base is over 30,000 per year through our retail and online stores along with 130 distributors around Australia. We are looking for someone who is professional, courteous, has excellent organisational skills and friendly. You must have knowledge in different financial models and strategies, knowledge of the arbor and outdoor power equipment industry and products and be able to work on your own and in a team environment. To apply you must have advanced EXCEL, UniPOS, Receipt Bank, and MYOB skills. Be a chartered certified accountant with master's degree in business administration with over 6 years of experience and be able to start immediately. We are offering $70K - 80K.

Your key responsibilities will be to;
  • Provide support to our current finance team by imputing invoices, reconciling end-of-day sales, and balancing all forms of payments
  • Ensure reliability and completeness of financial records using Receipt Bank and MYOB
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensures their compliance with company policy
  • Attend meetings with the company's external accountant for compliance purposes and ensure the company follows all legal and taxation rules
  • Prepare and examine month-end financial reports such as business income, cost of goods sold, and operational expenditure and presents profit margin analysis to directors
  • Use and become completely familiar with the company's point of sale system (UniPOS) and ensure all stock is accounted for and assist the directors in making current systems more efficient
  • Ensure all team members follow the financial system of the company and train administrative staff as required.
  • Assist directors in forecasting the monthly expenses
  • Reconcile freight charges and ensure they are allocated to the correct areas of the business
  • Ensure all business areas are financially monitored and suggest strategies that can make certain areas of the business work more efficiently
  • Monitor and implement a financial system for the company's logistics area and assist the directors in making this area a stand-alone cost centre

  • Liaise with IT consultants and assist in setting up a separate POS
  • Assist with overseas stock orders by monitoring the purchase of USD, the arrival of containers and the relevant invoices
