Resourcery Group are recruiting on behalf of a specialist financial services business in central Manchester who, due to their on-going and forecast growth, require an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to provide detailed analysis, commercial insight and business partnering support to the Directors.

An experienced Commercial Finance Analyst with robust hands-on analytical experience, you will be capable of collating, interrogating and analysing business KPIs including revenue, client data and operational activity. Reporting into the CFO, the individual will work alongside a number of stakeholders as a Commercial Finance Analyst providing a mixture of project-based operational & strategic improvement, month end reporting & ongoing data management. The role has a good level of intellectual challenge and holds a good variety of work in this entrepreneurial/high growth business.

Working with Salesforce, the Commercial Finance Analyst will be expected to drive most of the analytical work via Excel and, as such, will be a hands-on analyst capable of manipulating data. You will be commercially astute and be able to challenge existing ways of working to support the ongoing profitability & growth of the business. Owning the data the Commercial Finance Analyst will ensure that business decisions are fact based, and will provide the necessary insights into how things can be done quicker, smarter, or more cost effectively. The business is a sub-£10m t/o organisation and as such, the role of Commercial Finance Analyst is a more expansive one than a similar role in a large company. There will be involvement in month end activities accounting for 2-3 days of the month, working alongside the CFO and senior finance business partner. You must be comfortable working in a varied role that will be as broad as it is long. Our client can facilitate 1 day a week working from home, with the remaining 4 in the office.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified CIMA or ACCA.
  • Strong financial/operational background.
  • Ideally with experience of working in Financial Services/or a regulated industry.
  • Comfortable being involved with month end activities.
  • Robust Excel and the strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Profit and performance-orientated, the role of Financial Analyst will drive operational efficiencies across the group especially from Revenue & Fee Margin perspectives.
  • Applicants need to be able to work at least 4 days a week in the central Manchester offices. The rest of the time can be working from home.
  • Part-time considered (4 days).
