Director of Resources - Thomas Deacon Education Trust
Peterborough
c£85,000
Our multi-academy Trust has a clear and distinct purpose – to provide every child with the highest quality educational experiences, and improve their life chances through high expectations and raised aspirations. We are fully inclusive, serving a range of diverse communities representing the make-up of our society and catering for all aged 0-19. We are proud of this and firmly committed to making the difference.
Our academies are individual members of our Trust community but united by values and purpose. Currently we educate 5,000 children across Peterborough and North Cambridgeshire with a budget of £35m. We are proud of our achievements but we have a desire to make a greater impact across the City and the region. Sitting still is not in our nature.
As the Director of Resources, you will be a key member of the Trust’s strategic and operational leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. You will lead, inspire, and further develop our central business services which has over 100 staff and provides core services across Finance, HR, IT, Catering, Health & Safety, and Estates Management.
You will be a qualified accountant, with a successful track record of leading corporate services. You will be a strategic thinker but also a good operational leader with a clear vision of what excellence in central business services looks like. You may be working within an Academy or MAT environment currently. Alternatively, you may be working outside the sector as we recognise that the skills and expertise we need are transferable. Of more importance will be your ability to influence and lead with well developed communication skills and emotional intelligence.
This is an exciting time to join the Trust. We are ambitious for our young people and we believe there is much to build on.
