The primary objective of this role is ensuring the business complies with all tax legislation and involves the timely and accurate preparation of paperwork for tax payments and tax returns.
The role requires a strong focus on the numbers and attention to detail, ensuring the group meets its tax regulatory & compliance imperatives.

You will be responsible for:
Management of all Direct and Indirect (such as FBT, Payroll Tax, GST, PAYG, transfer pricing) tax matters for the organisation
Preparing paperwork for tax payments and returns
Preparation and lodgement of tax returns
Assisting in workers compensation analysis & reporting
Completion of monthly accruals & journals
Completion of month end closing and reporting tasks
Organising and updating the company's tax records
Keep up to date with changes to the taxation legislation
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), auditors and regulatory bodies when required
Ad hoc projects and process improvement
Required Experiences / Skills
Strong understanding of Australian taxation requirements, including corporate tax, payroll tax, FBT, GST & superannuation
Excellent time management skills
High level of attention to detail and multitasking
Excellent analytical and critical thinking
Professional interpersonal and relationship skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
As the successful candidate, you will be CA or CPA qualified together with 2-5 years taxation experience.
