Description:
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Program Development team and help unlock insights, which drive strategic business decisions. Our team focuses on the long-term development of ATS EU Linehaul, by defining, scoping and implementing new initiatives to increase efficiency across the network. This role will work directly with multiple internal teams and senior stakeholders across the Transportation organization to solve complex data and analytics problems. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.
The Business Analyst will be detail oriented, analytical, innovative, organized, curious, customer obsessed, and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a strong passion for data to deliver actionable insights to key stakeholders. The candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools (Excel, SQL, programming language, and visualization tools), and can collaborate with business leaders to deep-dive complex business problems and work backwards from them.
Key functions include:
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses, to drive key business decisions
• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
• Define the data elements to enable analytical and reporting capabilities, and work cross-functionally with other research teams when needed
• Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale as we grow
• Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
The role is based in Amazon's EU Headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics/Supply Chain/Computer Science/Operations Research/Math, or related discipline
• Relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
• Experience creating business metrics for reporting and interpret large sets of data
• SQL proficiency to efficiently extract data from multiple data sources
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
• Basic coding skills, e.g. Python
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree or equivalent in Logistics/Supply Chain/Computer Science/Operations Research/Math, or related discipline
• Experience in logistics or transportation industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
