The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team, with a specific focus on GitHub's Customer Success and Support (CS&S) Organization. The successful candidate will work directly with business partners and members of our CS&S leadership team to develop plans and set goals, then achieve them through effective team collaboration. We're looking for organized thinkers who can juggle multiple projects and be responsible for key growth initiatives. Responsibilities:
  • Planning & Measuring. Plan the financial trajectory of GitHub's CS&S organization. Manage the full P&Ls for GitHub's Professional Services and Premium Support businesses, and determine success metrics and budgets for the Customer Success and Support teams. Evaluate investments needed to achieve CS&S goals and reduce customer churn. Work with stakeholders across the CS&S organization to manage the P&L with end–to–end accountability.
  • Strategic Insights & Forecasting. Embrace new information and proactively look for ways to better understand business performance and how CS&S contributes to achieving GitHub's strategic and financial goals. Leverage new information to help improve visibility and forecasting.
  • Reporting & Communication. Contribute to building the company's financial plan and drive monthly reporting packages to CS&S leadership. Regularly communicate and collaborate with senior business partners. Surface the performance of key financial and operational metrics to business stakeholders.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Work Experience. 5+ years of relevant work experience, for example previous experience in FP&A at a Technology company, investment banking/research, or VC / PE.
  • Direct company FP&A experience partnering with Professional Services, Support, and/or Customer Success leadership is a plus.
  • Technical Experience. Experience with sophisticated financial modeling and working with large data sets.
  • Business Intuition. Solid understanding of the key drivers of a SaaS business.
  • Communication Skills. Distill and simplify complex financial concepts for all audiences.
  • Self–Starter Mentality. Proactive thinker looking to build processes that scale.
  • Interpersonal Skills. Build trust and effectively collaborate cross–functionally.
  • Location. San Francisco, CA; or remote (US/Canada only).
