We are proud to be working with an independent firm of accountants with offices in Birmingham. Due to an expansion acquisitions and business development efforts they are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with OMB and SME clients providing an extensive range of non-audit services.

The successful candidate will have a major part to play in a comprehensive variety of work across a wide client sector spectrum.

The right candidate will take over the day to day running of the business and will be involved in a variety of duties including financial accounts production, management reporting, tax affairs and ad hoc projects.

In line with working for a firm well-known to provide their staff a valuable work-life balance, you will have the opportunity to work from home when you may need to do so.

The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Management accounts production.
  • Financial accounts production.
  • Acting as a senior member of the team – scheduling and performing day to day work.
  • Acting as a first point of contact to clients advising on accounting and business topics.
  • Ad hoc reporting for clients.
  • Personal taxation, corporate taxation and VAT returns.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
