Job Description: As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team responsible for building and applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (programming in Python and SQL), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to forecast, analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals as well as working with technology teams to produce well managed applications. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEThe SF CFO – Financial Engineering – Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:* Develop approach to processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques. Determine customer's intended uses for a financial analysis or model.* Apply advanced skill, knowledge, and/or experience to provide leadership in translation of complex financial forecasting and modeling logic into software code, as well as creating specifications for applications leveraging distributed computing both on premise and on external cloud.* Lead financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.* Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.* Perform advanced data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.Qualifications: THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMDesired Experience * Background in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Forecasting, and/or Software Engineering * Experience working with Agile technology development teams to implement internal software systems* Background in mortgage finance or financial analytics/forecasting* Technical Skills: Python (including Pandas, NumPy, and other common Data Science packages) and Data Queries in a Cloud based Architecture (Amazon Web Services, Redshift SQL, S3 Parquet, etc.)* Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills* Ability to communicate complex topics in a meaningful manner* Bachelor's degree or equivalentAdditional Information: The future is what you make it to be.
