Who we're looking for
We are looking for an Investment Director to join our Wealth Management business, Cazenove Capital. In this role you will be asked to be one of the leaders of the Cazenove Capital investment process as an investment specialist specifically covering private assets. You will use your expert knowledge in investment strategy and selection in order to direct, and lead the continuing innovation of, the firm's private assets investment offering. You will be responsible for the communication of the firms private assets investment strategy and offering both internally and externally to the firms' clients.

What you'll do
Private Assets Investment Lead
• To become a member of the Private Assets Forum and lead the development, running and communication of the investment offerings overseen by this forum. To ensure the forum discharges all of its duties and objectives as set out by the Terms of Reference.
• To take a lead role in maintaining and developing the process of incorporating private assets within investment models run at Cazenove. To ensure standards within private asset selection are maintained through membership of the Wealth Management Private Assets Research Committee. To manage and maintain relationships with third party private assets investment managers where their services are used as part of our offering.
• To become a key contributor to listed private assets selection specifically within Cazenove, primarily through membership of the Private Equity Asset Class Group.
• To work with the Schroders Private Assets Team to incorporate the Group's private assets strategy and policies within the investment offerings at Cazenove. To aid the Schroders Private Assets Team in developing these strategies and policies where they relate to the investment process and offerings within Cazenove. To help champion private assets initiatives within Cazenove and the wider Schroders Group
• To provide assistance to Portfolio Directors and Managers in the management of certain client assets, and attend meetings with external clients as an investment specialist in Private Assets as required. To aid, and in some instances attend, new business pitches as required. To assist in the preparation and delivery of client specific presentations as requested.
Individual
• To direct research into investments as part of your membership of Investment Committees and/or Asset Class Groups more broadly where applicable.
• To be a key contributor in formulating the core multi-asset investment strategy at the firm , with a specific focus on the current and future positioning of core investment models run by Cazenove Capital. This may include membership of the Wealth Management Investment Committee as well as the Investment Strategy Group
• To aid in the development, running and communication of other investment models and strategic investment capabilities run at Cazenove Capital. This may include membership of Specialist Investment Committees and/or strategic asset class forums
• To be a key communicator of formal presentation and other marketing material regarding the Cazenove investment process, strategy outlook and investment offerings. This will include presentation material for the Quarterly Investment Briefing and Monthly Investment Forums, as well as material for any other internal and external presentations as required.
• To contribute to wider external client communications, such as written thought pieces and client webinars, as necessary.
• To collate internal and external sources of information and to co-ordinate information flow with other areas of the business, particularly Private Clients and Charities (the "front office"). To assist the front office with ad-hoc queries and requests.
• To have lead responsibility for the management of regulated Schroders Investment vehicles as required;
Team Based
• To take a lead role in implementing the annual and long-term strategy for Wealth Management and ensure this is consistent with the Group strategy.
• To be responsible with the CIO and other Investment Directors for ensuring that the strength, quality and capabilities of the investment team are consistent with the stated strategy of the business, and ultimately the Group.
• To help to retain and develop key talent within the team.
• To help ensure that the investment team operates effectively and in accordance with all procedures, including the identification, management and reporting of risks.
• To help ensure that the teams are operating within the requirements of all appropriate laws and regulations.
• To adhere to all Group policies, processes and procedures.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Excellent analytical skills, including an ability to make judgments about management skills and define the expected risk/reward characteristics of opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Good knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Eikon and Lipper
• Strong communication skills
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• IMC, CAIA, CFA or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential
