IM&T Practitioner
Would you like a high varied finance role working within our Submarines business within the IT team? We currently have a vacancy for an IM&T Practitioner at our site in Barrow.
As an IM&T Practitioner you will be providing full financial support function for the IM&T Department. You will work within the team who manage the departmental budgets.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners, supporting a wide range of business activities. As IM&T are moving to a new operating model you will have ability to influence how the financial service & governance model evolves to support the new organisation, develops, so experience already held will be a valuable asset as the change in operation take shape.
Your main responsibilities as an IM&T Practitioner will involve:
Annually supporting the budgets planning cycle in order to produce the 5 year plan for the function
Maintaining an EAC forecast for the year ahead on a monthly basis with rebasing every quarter
Ensuring that financial risk and opportunities are reported on a monthly basis
Managing the month end and end of year adjustments and accruals that are made are put into SAP
Producing a monthly financial reporting pack for the IM&T Director
Creating journals so to create recharges to various programmes, Dreadnought SSNR, Astute
Analysis of costs to Computer economics benchmark
Governance of the process and training of Cost account managers. Query management. Solution identification and process improvement activities
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience working within, Finance, Accounting, Cost Analysis or Project Controls
Previous experience of process improvement would be highly desirable to help manage the changes
Strong Excel skills: Pivot tables, formulas, data analysis and querying
Working with ERP systems such as SAP, MS Dynamics, IFS, Lawson, Epicor is desirable.
Leadership or Management skills would be desirable

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written, you will be able to communicate to different stakeholders and also other members of the team, therefore strong interpersonal skills are essential. You will be able to build good relationships, handing queries and being able to present data to both finance an none finance stakeholders.
