Financial Controller

Award winning UK FinTech scale up searching for a newly created Senior Financial Accountant to support the Head of Finance as the business becomes more complex. They have several entities with different business models providing clients with varying products and services, and this position will be tasked leading all financial reporting, and bringing rigour to all financial accounting, controls and compliance processes. The role is well suited to a strong technical accountant that is enthused about the opportunity to join an exciting fintech with significant growth prospects, in a role that will allow them to really make their mark and contribute to the development of their financial operations.

£50,000-60,000 + package

• Ownership, preparation, and review of all financial statements, as well as ownership of the relationship with the Group's auditors.
• Development and maintenance of Group accounting policies and control framework.
• Group monthly management accounts
• Group consolidation
• Support the Head of Finance in developing efficient processes and systems to support the growth of the business
• Complete Month end process in an efficient and timely manner ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Business partner multiple cost centres including budgeting, forecasting and variance
• Go to person for all technical accounting matters
• Group cash flow during month end
• Internal reporting, tax and treasury
• VAT & Tax credits

Skills and experience

• Chartered accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience
• Trained with a top 10 accounting practice strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Experience within the fintech or tech sectors a plus but not essential
• Strong systems user
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution.
• Hands on operator who can work with scarce resource
• Excited about the prospect of working in a scaling fintech
