Group Chief Quality and Compliance Officer (QCO)

This is an exciting opportunity in the context of Mazars' global transformation and growth for a dynamic and team-focused manager with strong leadership and communication skills to drive and monitor change, engagement and acceptance in the quality and compliance arena.

As a member of the Group Executive Board (GEB) sub-committee, the Group Management Committee and a of the Quality Management & Compliance Board, this role reports to the GEB and more specifically to the GEB member in charge of Quality, Risk and Compliance.

Role and responsibilities

The Group Chief Quality & Compliance Officer (QCO) will be responsible for:
  • overseeing regulatory, professional standards, compliance, quality management and related policies across the Mazars Group;
  • developing and implementing procedures and initiatives to ensure efficient and effective quality programs with respect to the above, that promote, identify, prevent, detect and correct non-compliance throughout the Mazars Group;
  • making certain the system of quality management and related policies are well understood and respected across the organization and have clear accountability features;
  • leading a central team at an international level;
  • coordinating, with the QMC Board, the Group service lines and countries.

Desired skills and experience
  • Proven leadership, project and change management, analytical, communication, innovation and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team building skills;
  • Relevant professional experience and technical knowledge in both quality strategies and compliance and audit and accounting;
  • A relevant experience in an international professional services firm (PSF); an experience with an international regulatory body would be a plus;
  • Comfortable with complex management structures and ambiguity, an experience in a partnership is a considerable avantage;
  • Real capacity to engage with people, create trustful relationships and demonstrate strong influencing skills at all levels, including top management;
  • Ability to vision, set goals, drive continuous improvement and be accountable;
  • Proactive approach to responding to external and internal stakeholders;
  • Strong professional networking capabilities;
  • Continuous learner and excellent listener;
  • Adaptable and agile, but the ability to say no;
  • International mindset and experience; motivated to work in a truly international environment and using communication skills to build relations;
  • Bilingual English, excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, French and other languages are a plus.

The position will be based in a major European city, with a preference for Paris, London or Amsterdam.
