Our client a leading service sector organisation has a highly sought after job opportunity for a Group Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.

This is a high profile role in which you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will provide meaningful management information for the CEO, Executive team, Board of Directors and Shareholders.

Your new role

Reporting to the CFO you will lead, manage and develop the finance planning and management reporting function, including long term business planning, annual budgeting and periodical budget updates

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective performance management system, providing effective support in setting operating and financial targets for the financial year, consistent with Group strategy and long term business plans and in monitoring the achievement of those targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

Analyzing expected returns and financial compatibility of investment proposals and formulate recommendations for the relevant authorization bodies. Performing investment assurance and Sign-off for capital allocation regarding proposed projects. Performing post-investment appraisal.

Providing support to Business Development and M&A functions during pre-development or pre-acquisition phase and during the post-acquisition/integration phase for the implementation of policies, processes and systems in line with planning and management reporting policies.

Coordinating internal and external benchmarking analysis and special projects aimed at improving operational efficiency of the asset portfolio for value creation purposes.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of working within a similar senior FP&A role ideally within an energy, utilities or infrastructure businesses or will have gained exposure to working within complex multi-business organisations.

You will possess superior commercial acumen coupled with excellent analytical , financial modeling and synthesis skills.

Furthermore you will have strong knowledge of planning and management reporting systems, familiarity with ERP systems and excellent communication, senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
