This role, reporting directly to the CFO, will be the 5th member of a small and fast-paced finance team, which supports a business currently operating in three countries.

The team's responsibilities will be split into two functional line - Group Financial Reporting (which you will take the lead on) & Operational Finance (led by the Financial Controller).

Responsibilities

This will provide context and insight to decision makers throughout the business up to Board level.
  • You will lead and improve the process of regular interaction with internal stakeholders, communicating performance vs budget and ensuring that everyone within the business has access to accurate management information when required.
  • You will take the lead on the business' statutory reporting and audits, ensuring the timely completion of all audits and compliance with the reporting requirements of all countries the business operates in.
  • You will need to be hands on with financial management and be prepared to roll your sleeves up, involving yourself in the day-to-day operations and processing when required . You'll see getting hands on work done as a real contribution to the company and a great opportunity to get exposure to every area of the business.
  • You will play an active role in maintaining and improving strong financial controls, both appropriate for the business now and evolving with the business as it continues to scale.
  • You will support the CFO and Financial Controller in determining financial budgets and strategic plans.

  • An impressive educational and business background, demonstrating a high level of numeracy and a track record of sustained high achievement.
  • Chartered accountancy qualification (ACA or CIMA), with 3+ years experience post qualification.
  • Excellent financial and management reporting skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Background in audit and statutory financial reporting, ideally on a group basis and excellent knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Prior operational experience working in (or with) growth businesses is preferable.
  • An eagerness to embrace the variety of challenges presented every day in a growth company.
  • A self-starter with an attitude of doing and leading by example.
  • A willingness to take on a broad and evolving role that at times will require you to roll your sleeves up and do what it takes to get the job done.
