A dynamic, successful and growing Consumer Tech business are on the hunt for a Head of Financial Control to join the great team they have. This role will manage a team of 2, have a commercial element and play an important part in the next stage of expansion.

The Role will include:
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting for the businesses and for ensuring robust processes and internal controls are in place.
  • Streamline financial processes and systems and ensure that they are in alignment with those of the the wider business.
  • Develop strong working relationships with other functions to ensure that there is a comprehensive understanding of responsibilities.
  • Manage the consolidation of the results of the group subsidiaries.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations to ensure that the accounting records are properly reconciled and that all aged items are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Manage the audit process, ensuring comprehensive audit working papers are compiled to support process.
  • Liaise with external parties such as auditors and tax advisors to ensure statutory obligations are adhered to.
  • Manage treasury and banking arrangements - overseeing bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • Act as finance lead for stock takes - ensuring reconciliation of stock records to the accounting records.
  • Supporting the process to ensure ensure full compliance with all UK tax regulations (Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE etc).
  • Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable team.
  • Work in collaboration with CFO, FP&A Manager and Head of Operations in making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Part of the lead team developing an appropriate ERP solution for the business.

Candidate Requirements
  • A relevant professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Flexibility to work to tight timescales.
  • To be ambitious and have a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
