Group Accountant - FTSE 100 Business

Ignata Finance have an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a FTSE 100 client of ours based in Crawley (with flexible working). This position will play a key role in the accounting process for production of annual reports and accounts as well as interim statements. You will also provide important business partnering to Senior Leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date with all technical accounting developments and pro-actively communicating potential impact to senior leadership
• Providing guidance to the business on technical accounting matters, including the impact of new or updated accounting standards. Be the first point of contact for business units and central functions on technical accounting issues.
• Leading the team in preparing the annual report.
• Preparing and guiding others in preparing statutory accounts for UK entities.
• Financial modelling and support on preparation of business cases, implications of proposals/activities and forecasting.
• Management and financial reporting of environmental property provision balance across the global entities.

Skills and experience required:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with experience of multiple entity statutory reporting and consolidation
• Month end experience including posting and ownership of accounts
• Experience of PLC businesses (either audit or reporting experience)
• Experience with partnering senior leadership
• Experience leading junior team members
