Our client is a boutique credit fund which span out of a leading name in the industry, several years ago. The fund has enjoyed exceptional performance each year since inception and is looking to hire a Fund Accountant / Fund Controller to support their continued expansion.
Joining a small non-investment team, the hire will report directly into the CFO and COO, who both pride themselves on being mentors to their juniors and this hire has been created with a view to stepping into a Head of Finance role, within 2/3 years.
The role offers a broad remit across all of finance, covering fund and investor reporting, alongside exposure to the accounting to the management companies. The fund relies heavily on external administrators so this is more of an oversight function, allowing time to enjoy wider responsibilities across operations, investor relations, trade support and fund launches, alongside commercial work such as investment valuations, asset management of the transactions and the closing of deals and transactions, alongside significant ad-hoc project and infrastructure development.
The fund has a flat structure and a truly collaborative working environment borne out of a friendly, family environment with work/life balance and personal/professional development real priorities for the fund.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA, with 2+ years of fund accounting experience.
