A local accounting firm in Clearwater is working with PrideStaff to find a great bookkeeper for their practice. The right person for this role will be a person who is comfortable working in a team environment, is used to working with a variety of clients, and enjoys working with other accountants.
Duties:
* Work with clients on all of their financial reporting, reconciliation, profit and loss, etc. for month end, quarter end, annual reports
* Review, edit and provide guidance to the clients to ensure the financial reporting is done appropriately and correctly prior to review by the accountants.
* Significant client interaction: teaching, helping, guiding small business owners to help make the financial reporting process easier and more efficient for them and you.
* Adjust journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, perform GAAP accounting
* Understands the importance of double entry bookkeeping
Skills:
* Two or more years of Bookkeeping experience
* Outstanding organizational and time management
* Previous experience in an accounting firm
* Excellent computer skills; specifically QuickBooks, Micorsoft Office programs and other general accounting software
* Enjoys client interaction and customer service
* Associates degree in accounting or finance, preferred but not required.
All candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18-$24 DOE
