Business Analyst

Description:
Amazon India is seeking highly analytical and detail oriented candidate to join the Consumables Category team in Bangalore. As part of the team, the analyst will analyze business decisions, troubleshoot issues, and communicate the findings effectively across different teams. This role will support regular operations of a part of the E-commerce business.
An ideal analyst is one who enjoys discovering and solving complicated problems, can quickly learn complex systems, likes to work with numbers, and takes pride in organizing and communicating his work.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or Statistics. Master's degree preferred.
Familiarity with optimization, planning and logistics concepts - gained through work experience or education.
Analytical skills - has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions.
Math skills - has ability to work with numbers.
Organization skills - demonstrated ability to work independently to make complex investigations, has self-discipline, is diligent and can manage time appropriately.
Communication skills - ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.

Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 yrs experience working with live businesses prefered.
Programming or scripting knowledge preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with UNIX a plus.
