Corporate Segment Finance is responsible for developing and delivering financial strategy, information and management support to the corporate areas of TD Bank Financial Group. The team's responsibilities and deliverables include management reporting, forecasting and planning, performance measurement and strategic business analysis

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Segment Finance, the Finance Analyst II will be responsible for supporting reporting and forecasting processes for certain COLA (Compliance, Legal, AML, Global Security and Investigations, Fraud Risk Management) businesses. The ideal candidate possesses sound knowledge of management reporting concepts, is self-motivated, and has a high attention to detail

Requirements

Monthly Reporting
• Maintain and roll-forward the reporting models for businesses on a monthly basis. Ensure strong controls and efficient procedures are in place for accurate and timely reporting
• Submit reporting hierarchy maintenance requests for COLA businesses
• Prepare and send accrual reminders to business partners and post accruals
• Responsible for booking monthly journal entries (post-closing adjustments, charge-outs, FX adjustments)
• Prepare reconciliation of accruals vs payments for US Audit professional fees
• Send expense transaction and FTE details to business partners to review monthly results
• Refresh Hyperion pulls and send project information to Enterprise Project Finance

Quarter-end reporting
• Prepare quarter-end Affiliate Transaction Report and submit invoices
• Complete quarterly attestations for severance provision template, related contractual maturity template, balance sheet attestation, StatsCan and audit & non-audit related fees

Quarterly Forecasting and Annual Planning
• Maintain and roll-forward the plan and forecast models for COLA businesses on a quarterly basis
• Upload FTE and expenses for COLA businesses to Hyperion (US and Canada cubes)

Process improvements
• Proactive approach to reviewing and making on-going improvements to reporting processes and forecast models to create efficiencies

Additional Information

• Experience in management reporting is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Keep operating procedure documentations up to date
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to proactively follow-up on identified issues and work toward resolution
• Excellent team player and proven effective relationship management skills
• Strong communication skills (write and verbal)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications especially, Excel - Pivot Tables and other functions
• Working knowledge of Hyperion, OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence) and Clarity is an asset
• University degree with an accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) preferred
• Prior finance experience would be an asset
