Financial Analyst

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Temporary Senior Financial Analyst based in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of the Finance Team, your analytical and financial reporting skills will be an asset to the department. The s tart date is as soon as possible for an approximately 6-month term with a potential extension.

The Role:

• Plan and develop financial and statistical information
• Review and evaluate financial reports, results, and variances
• Prepare financial variance analysis, management and board reports
• Prepare financial reconciliation reports and analysis, reporting data to management
• Assist with finance and analysis projects on an as-needed basis
• Variance analysis and financial reporting
• Perform accounting research and analysis
• Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

• Professional Accounting designation is required
• 3+ years of experience with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with SAP would be considered an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented approach with excellent decision making skills
• Start date is as soon as possible for approximately 6 month term with potential extension (TBD)
